I was billed $9300.00 for a mouth surgery when the estimate was for $5800.00. Keep in mind that I inadvertently went "out of network" so even though I pay for Blue Cross Blue Shield medical and dental insurance, the insurance only covered about $3000.00. How do they send payment to the dentist? Is it a check or is it just a quick electronic transfer? I received my statement today but when I called my dentist and they said they were not paid yet by the insurance company. I then called my insurance company they confirmed that a payment will go out one week today on April 16th. I would like to know the soonest I can pay my end of the bill. ...
