The first time I have felt intense pain is 3 days after wisdom teeth extraction, why?

I had my wisdom teeth extracted 3 days ago and have taken pain medicine as needed only ibuprofen I haven't needed the prescription meds, but this morning I woke up to a horrible pain in my jaw on both sides. Applying pressure provides some sense of relief. Any ideas as to what it is? What should I do?

How bad is the wisdom teeth extraction/recovery?

I'm really nervous about getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth out. The upper ones are emerged, one only partially. The bottom ones are impacted but haven't caused my teeth to shift or caused any other pain. An Oral Surgeon is doing the procedure and I'm getting an IV so I'll be asleep for the surgery. I'm really worried about the amount of pain and discomfort afterwards and I'd like to see what you all have to say about your experience. Could you guys give me some details on the experience and any tips for a speedy recovery and a less painful one?

How long should i wait after my wisdom teeth extraction to start taking my antibiotics and pain meds?

I just had my wisdom teeth extraction and my face is still numb, the antibiotics can be taken with food but one doesn't need to be. How long should i wait to start taking them?

can i listen to my ipod during teeth extraction?

i will have 4 teeth removed in a few weeks and 4 others the following month. I heard it hurts like crazy so i planned on bringing my ipod so i could listen to some relaxing music. Do u think my dentist will allow it?
