Guys: Does a girl having crooked teeth turn you off?

I have a friend and I've known her for about a year. Her teeth are crooked and she is reaaallly self conscious about it. She thinks it's a really big deal and is afraid a lot of guys will be turned off by it, especially the one she likes. I tell her it's not that bad and stuff but she still worries and stuff. She always tries to hide them too, like when she smiles she doesn't show them and she doesn't talk much around them. She's getting braces in a few weeks though so yeah.
Would it turn you off if there was a girl who had crooked teeth?
Or do braces turn you off? And why for both?
