Do I Need an Nhs Card to Receive Free Dental Care?

I am 20 years old and in full time education. My mom has one of those NHS cards for free treatment. Do I need one of my own ones or can I just use my moms at the dentists so I dont need to pay for the treatment?

Suggestion:

if your mom is claiming DSS and you are on her claim, then you use her card, but if she is not on benefits, neither of you are entitled to free dental treatment

The NHS only provides free care up the age of 19 and in full time education. So you do now have to pay.

You may qualify for reduced cost dentistry and you can get a HC form and get it completed before the treatment starts (NHS dentist will give you the form).

You do not need your NHS card and can find a NHS dentist and go straight to them for treatment providing you are eligable for NHS treatment in this country.

You will need one of your own because you are no longer classed as a minor. Contact your local dentist for more information or take a look here.
