1. Dental health must be your priority. Always visit your dentist 4 times a year to ensure that your teeth are bacteria free. Most bad breath comes from a very unclean mouth, so make sure to have teeth cleaning every time you visit your dentist.
2. Brush your teeth and tongue after a meal. It is advisable to clean your mouth every time you consume any food especially junk foods and sodas. You may also use dental floss and mouth wash to eliminate those mouth bacteria that resides in your tongue and gums.
3. Always drink water. Water can also help flush those bacteria out of your mouth every after meals. Drinking enough water helps avoid having a halitosis.
4. Chew a bubble gum. Chewing can help saliva flowing all the time making your breath smelling good. Choose sugar less gum to avoid tooth decay.
5. Avoid foods that you know can cause you halitosis. Foods like garlic, ginger and onions can make your breath so bad but these vegetables are high in antioxidants. Avoid junk foods and meat because these are proven to make your breath worst. Eat celery and carrots as these foods acts as a mouth cleaner.
6. Don’t miss breakfast. Study shows that people who skip breakfast are most likely to have stinky breath. An empty stomach produce bad odors that goes out through our mouth causing bad breath. Don’t full your stomach either because same reaction will take place.
7. Avoid too much alcohol. Moderate your alcohol intake. Rhum and beers are known cause of halitosis. So limit your alcohol intake.
8. Breathing is a good therapy for bad breath. Always take time to breath through the mouth for several minutes. This will help your respiratory problems that is sometimes cause bad breath.
9. Don’t smoke. You probably know that smoking cause bad breath. Do I have to say more?
Bad breath can be prevented by taking care of our oral health. Be clean and know what foods that can help prevent bad breath. Having a fresh breath all the time is one way to boost self confidence. You can interact and handle yourself effectively when you feel clean and fresh inside and out.
