Teeth Whitening Products and Tooth Paste Concerns and Thoughts

I thought I might throw in these additional thoughts here that might help some folks:

Brushing your teeth on a regular basis is of course a vital part of keeping your bright white smile and maintaining any progress you have made with whitening procedures. And ideally you should use a “whitening” tooth paste. But a word of caution. I have personally known of two close friends that have literally worn down the enamel of their teeth by over brushing. And their dentists have told them to not use the more abrasive whitening tooth pastes. Now granted this will only be the case for a few people. The ones I am talking about would brush their teeth from 4 to 6 times a day.

So some good advice would be to simply get the recommendation of your dentist. Find out if you are you are one of the people that is at risk of doing damage by brushing? And should you use the whitening tooth pastes? It would seem that some peoples teeth have softer enamel and more likely to have a problem. I would also seem that anyone that brushes more than four times a day should probably not use an abrasive tooth paste, at least not at all the different times of brushing.

It would seem advisable also for people with softer teeth enamel to be more concerned about the types of whitening procedures they use. Some are certainly more aggressive than others and it would be good to do a little more investigation.

We should always be safe, rather than sorry, when it comes to our teeth that we want with us for a lifetime.
