Obviously almost everyone will want to get out into the sun and have fun while it’s about, so when it comes to going indoors, it can be a nive break. But, just because your inside doesn’t mean it’s cool. So here are just a few tips for keeping yourself cool at home.
Wear clothing that’s light weight, loose fitted and light coloured. This one is fairly obvious, dress light to make sure your body doesn’t get too hot on the inside. Although it’s scary for some, it’s time to get your shorts out.
Ensure you drink lots of fluids. Keeping hydrated with lots of water will keep you cool and refreshed, however, don’t forget to drink juices because they supply sugar and minerals to keep your body going. Alot of minerals are lost through sweat so these need to be replaced by drinking lots of liquids.
Use a dehumidifier. If you haven’t yet bought one, they aren’t too pricey and you really do feel the benefits of them.Dehumidifiers are used to remove water within the air to make the air around you less humid.Silica gel, which despite the name, is a solid. Many appliances use this gel for absorbing water that’s in the air.
Stay calm and relaxed. Staying relaxed first the first few days of heat is important because it allows your body to become familiar to the heat. If you just run out into the hot weather, you will get tired and hot faster than is your relax before doing so.
These are just a couple of tips to help you stay cool during the summer, although it doesn’t feel too much like summer here in the UK.
