After Having a Dental Implant Done, Should Most of the Gums Surrounding the Tooth Be Sore?

what if the gumline is pulsating & throbbing?
Is all this normal?
If not, what would the reason be for these symptoms?

Suggestion:

Yes this is normal because you just had something done that your mouth/gums aren't used to. So anytime you mess with them pretty seriously like this it'll be sore. Take you pain meds and try something like Orajel for a few days (get the kind with benzocaine 20% – anything ending in – caine will numb) and that will immediately help with discomfort. If you notice them swelling abnormally, bleeding, very red, and just more uncomfortable then should be dont hesitate to call your dentist; even if its the after hours number…don't want to get an infection :) . So just watch it and make sure it doesn't swell up, puffy red, etc. and you're okay. Discomfort is normal, try my suggestions; good luck
