Suggestion:
You should be fine going by yourself since implants are placed under local anesthesia. Usually the procedure is as traumatic as the extraction of a tooth. In your case since you had an infection the extraction was probably very easy. It is a simple procedure.
As to recovery, you should be fine by the next day. Again it is similar to a tooth extraction. Soreness might persist for a few days, however it will get back to normal in a few days.
I would avoid any hard foods the first day or two. If it is a front tooth you should avoid eating anything that would require using your front teeth(like an apple) until the gum tissue has healed. You can eat whatever you like, however try to chew with the other side and avoid any pressure on the implant area. If you would like to learn more about implants please visit the source page. Thanks.
