Can I Listen to My Ipod During Teeth Extraction?

i will have 4 teeth removed in a few weeks and 4 others the following month. I heard it hurts like crazy so i planned on bringing my ipod so i could listen to some relaxing music. Do u think my dentist will allow it?

Suggestion:

I would say yes, just ask your oral surgeon if it's okay for you to listen to your ipod during the procedure. I'm sure he will allow you to use your ipod, because it will put you at ease and thats what he wants. He wants you relaxed and will just place a bite block in your mouth so if you fall alseep you won't be able to close your mouth. Just make sure it doesn't get in his way while he is pulling your teeth.

Don't worry too much. I had my wisdom teeth removed and what I remember from the surgery is the pain of the needle prick and the pressure exerted by the Oral Surgeon when he is extracting the teeth. That was it.

After, when the anesthesia was wearing off I felt some pain but nothing the pain meds can't handle. I had more of an irritated feeling that your face is swollen, you can't eat whatever you want and you have stiches in your mouth so you aren't really comfortable.
