Do Your Wisdom Teeth Have to Be Pulled Out?

So my dentist tried to take out my wisdom teeth even though they weren't fully grown.
Does everyone have to get their wisdom teeth pulled out?
Or do you only have to get them removed if they bother you?
At what age to they grow fully?
When should you get your wisdom teeth removed?

THanks for reading!!

Suggestion:

No, not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed.

There are a few reasons to have the wisdom teeth removed:
- not enough room in the jaw to accomodate 32 teeth
- the wisdom teeth are impacted (growing sideways) against the adjacent molars, and are causing oral health issues
- the wisdom teeth are not fully erupting, and have a flap of tissue that is constantly trapping bacteria and causing infection
- the wisdom teeth are causing pain… headaches, clenching, etc.

Many people still have wisdom teeth within their jaw, that will never actually break through the surface of the gums. Typically, these will never cause a problem, and are left alone. Many other people have a lot of room in their jaw, and are able to accommodate 32 teeth. Genetics plays a role there too… if you get your Mom's small jaw and your Dad's big teeth… they just aren't going to fit in your mouth.

Wisdom teeth begin to develop within your jaw bone around age 7 or 8, and take about 10 years to fully form. By around the ages of 16 to 25, the wisdom teeth usually show up in the mouth.

You should get them removed while you're young (late teens or early 20s). You heal much better than when you're older, plus it will help the rest of your teeth aligning correctly within your mouth.

Not everyone has wisdom teeth pulled. They are really just another pair of molars, but most peoples' jaws stop growing before they come in. If your jaw is big enough to accommodate the extra teeth, there will be minimal pain with the teething and no more pain once fully grown. However if you are like most people, your jaw is not big enough, and the pain in teething will be greater and if not pulled, it will mess up the rest of your teeth, which is painful in process and painful to correct.

No everybody don't have to have their wisdom teeth pulled. However they cause shifting of your teeth and can cause some alot of pain, they can become impacted. If you mouth is already crowded it can cause more problems and alot of dentist like to pull them out before they do, wisdom teeth usually come in between 18 to 25 years of age but earlier or later can happen also.

yes. your wisdom teeth do have to be pulled out. im getting mine pulled out when im 18. if you dont get them pulled out, supposedly, they can crowd the rest of your teeth.

A lot of peoples' jaws don't don't have room for the third molars. If they come in crooked (impacted) you will get an infection at the site. A good idea to have them removed if it looks like they will be impacted.

If your wisdom teeth do not bother you or are perfectly aligned with your other teeth, then I don't see a point in getting them pulled out.

Not everyone has to but if you don't they may get impacted or infected which I can say from personal experience sucks. They grow at different ages for different people. I would say that you should have them out the moment they start to give you any discomfort because if you let it get worse the recovery from the procedure is a lot more difficult.
