Suggestion:
well my dear i work in a dental office…so i would suggest seeing your dentist again?. You will still grind or clench at night but your just doing it on the night guard instead of your teeth. you can also try eliminating unneeded stress and practice stress exercises. our mouth at night is a way that our body releases stress and its through grinding or clenching our teeth. so you made need to look at other life style factors maybe? hope that helps!

i assume you have an over the counter one. those may or may not work since it is one size fits all. you should see a dentist and ask his/her opinion. you may need a professionaly made one. they fit better and only fit to your teeth. the are soft lined and hard on the outside and more confortable to wear. they are pricey, but according to the patients that we have made them for worth it. some people grind so much, they need like a new one every couple of years because they are grinding the surface off.
