It depends what kind of extraction you had. If it is a simple extraction, you could be back at work that same day. If it's surgical extraction, you will likely want to take 3 or 4 days off. Not everyone needs heavy painkillers for days.

Well I had 4 taken out on a thursday skipped friday rested over the weekend went back to school on monday my mouth was a little sore but I didn't need the pain killers.
… I was in 6th grade when I had mine taken out. Well mine weren't really wisdom teeth they were just these really weird teeth growing under my gums in the front of my bottom jaw.
So probably 2 or 3.
if you are doped up for more than a day, the doping is not from the painkiller.!
if you need more than two days, you have an incredibly low pain thresh hold.
Schedule the appointment for a Friday, and you can have the whole weekend off.
