Is There a Dentist out There Who Could Help a Poor Guy Like Me with Dental Implants?

I'm unemployed, mostly because of my teeth. They are not horrible; just bad. I cannot get dental help, because I cannot get a job. I cannot get a job, because I cannot get dental help.

I'm at my wits end, and about to give up. I'd rather be dead than go on like this.

Suggestion:

I'm not sure I understand why you don't have a job because of dental problems. Not everyone has perfect teeth…so not a good excuse for not working. Sorry I'm not too sympathetic on that.

Why do you necessarily have to get dental implants? They are VERY expensive and many working people with insurance can't even afford those. My husband had severe dental problems. He has worked at the same job for over 20 years and makes a decent salary, but there is no way we could afford implants. Instead, he opted for full dentures, which has done wonders for him. He loves them and looks great. Our insurance did pay half the cost, but still, the dentures were expensive, too. But way less than implants.

I do understand how expensive dental care is, so I can sympathize with you on that. I don't think you will find "a dentist out there" who will do you any favors like free service, but check around and maybe some will set up a payment plan. Also look into any dental colleges in your area. They will often do dental care at a very low cost. The students perform the procedures but are supervised.

No, you wouldn't rather be dead than go on like this. You aren't the only person in the world with bad teeth. It's fixable. Get a job…..good luck.

It is unlikely you would ever get dental implants for free. I don't know anything about your circumstances, but if your teeth are in such bad shape that they make you unemployable (which is probably not actually the case), look into getting dentures. Some people just weren't meant to have teeth.

Bottom line is that dentists may often seem wealthy, and a dentist may be willing to donate some time here and there, but his employees do not work for free, dental supply companies do not donate materials and equipment, electric bills must be paid, etc. This is the world in which we live.
