If our gums protect our teeth from falling out then why do skulls still have teeth?
I know it is a random question, but it confused me.
Why is this?
Thanks
Suggestion:
Bone loss from gum disease that has spread and destroyed the jaw bone is what holds the teeth in and not the gums. The gums are an indication that gum disease is present to some extent.

SOPHIE,
IT'S AN EXCELLENT QUESTION, GRANDPA WALLEYE IS CORRECT
WHEN YOU HAVE HEALTHY GUMS, THEN YOU HAVE GOOD DENTAL BONE AND THEN THIS BONE KEEPS THESE TEETH IN THE SKULL.
TO MAKE THIS SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND:
HEALTHY GUMS=GOOD BONE=TEETH IN SKULL
