What Are Some Ways I Can Remember to Brush My Teeth at Night?

I have braces that I am supposed to be getting off in August. A few months ago, my orthodontist gave me this special plaque tooth paste that I need to use every night. However, because I'm usually in my room at night and I just sort of fall asleep instead of preparing to go to bed, I keep forgetting.

I really need to start remembering, but I'm very forgetful. What are some ways that I can remember to brush my teeth at night?

Suggestion:

Put a book, or a piece of paper in your bed, or something you'll be sure to find. Write "brush teeth" on it. You won't have to do it every night, just for the first week or so, and then it'll be routine!

do what i do and go "oh im getting tired i should shower and brush my teeth before i fall asleep" and then do it, seriously it's not that hard

that's nasty

may seem silly but write down BRUSH TEETH on a piece of paper and tape it above your light switch!…

for me, it usually isn't forgetting, it's just having the motivation. once you get in the groove, it'll become almost automatic. just be self-motivated :P

set your alarm for whatever time works best for you, that way, even if you fall asleep, you'll wake up and brush them.

well i doubt you forget to shower.. so make that a routine along with nightly showers… leave the toothpaste out near your bathroom sink to remind you to brush everytime you shower before bed

Routinely hide / place your pillow somewhere when you make your bed in the morning. You won't go to sleep without it, so it'll remind you to look after your teeth first, before you hit the pillow at night.

As a RDA, we dont care if you forget or remember to brush your teeth at night. Just remember that once your dental provider takes off ur braces and you have nasty little squares on your teeth that cant be bleached away, just look in the mirror and blame your self and not the dental team..
