What Are the Consequences of Not Having Braces (teeth) Taken Off?

I have braces to correct my teeth, rubberband on the top right, and something on the top left that is supposed to pull out a growing tooth. I am 18 years old and do not have the money to continue paying for my braces, and live very far away from my old orthodontist. Would it be harmful to leave the braces in for another year or so?

Answer:

They might actually start moving your teeth inward if there already straight. Or push them too close together. I would try to get and inexpensive pay plan.
