What Happens During a Follow Up Appointment for a Tooth Extraction?

I had 2 teeth pulled out on Saturday March 27, my follow up is tomorrow and I want to know what to expect. My fear is that the dentist is gonna poke the sockets with a sharp tool. Anything helps

Suggestion:

probably just to check how its healing or if theres any problems, if you had stitches, they will just remove that.
