Wisdom Teeth Extraction 5 Days Ago Tingling Tounge Ever Since?

I had my wisdom teeth extracted and have been experiencing a tingly/numb tounge on and off ever since. I have also noticed that my tounge is beginning to form a white film and I have a bad taste in my mouth. Does anyone experienced this or know what could be going on?

Suggestion:

Since wisdom teeth are at the back of your mouth, they are very close to or sometimes directly on certain nerves… some patients have damaging to the nerves when their teeth are extracted. That would be my guess as to why you are experiencing tingling with your tongue. The bad taste may be caused by an infection??

But go see your dentist, I'm just guessing and only they'll know what's really going on.

Goodluck! (:

You should call your oral surgeon. You can brush your tongue with your toothbrush and toothpaste. The bad taste could be from an infection in one of the tooth sockets. Rinse your mouth with an antiseptic mouthwash.
