How Come Dental Insurance Isn't Included in Overall Health Insurance?

It's bs

Suggestion:

Because teeth are not part of the human body.

Teeth apparently aren't important.

Even in countries with state-funded health care you have to pay for dental care. It's like that in the UK, France and Sweden.

Because people don't go broke paying for fillings.

In other words, dental care is no where near as much as health care costs. One trip to the doctor for a person can cost you the same as an entire year of dental care for the entire family, and maybe even more.

And dental care is not considered as critical as health care. You can live with bad teeth. Try living with a bad heart.

People can predict how much dental care they need, so it is not really insurance against unexpected expenses it is just cost sharing, and most people have good teeth so do not want it.
