Where Do You Stand on Increasing Health Benefits for Veterans?

As a vet who has no other medical insurance other than what I can get at the VAMC Seattle, I would like to know what you plan to do to increase our benefits. If you are receiving a pension from the VA you are elgible for full dental care. However there are those of us who served who can only get teeth pulled if its needed. We have no way getting something as simple as a cleaining or being fitted for dentures as I need. When I joined the Navy I was assured ALL my care would be taken care of by the VA…well thie govenrment has dropped the ball on most of us and it needs to be fixed. We didn't think twice about serving why are we being ignored?

Suggestion:

@ flower – blow me
Do a day in my boots while in service, and live. Then you can talk.

The VAMC see 10's of 1000's per month

Thats why you have to be SC for your mouth to get dental – be recv a pension – or 100%

I tell my guys, frustrated as they are, to get BCBS. Dental is as cheap as $20 mth
Then send the receipts to Mississippi for reimbursement.
works for them

Isnt free medical care at the VA sufficient? The rest of us dont have your benefits and we dont have dental care either.

No one forded you to join the military.
