What is the Best Toothbrush for Gum Disease?

I don't mind spending the extra money for one of the electric toothbrushes, but I would like to get opinions on any that have really helped someone fight their gum disease.

Suggestion:

Electric toothbrushes do clean well, but I'm not a big fan because of sanitary reasons. They develop a buildup between the head and the brush that you put again in your mouth every day. Just not a great idea.

The best way to fight gum disease is to make sure you are brushing (gently) and flossing daily. Also you should be aware that fluoride and mouthwash work against you in healing the problem. There are toothpastes that don't contain fluoride or dental oils that feel wonderful and really work. A good supplement that builds back the gums is CoQ10.

i agree with sam too oral-b electronic ones too firstly if you a fan of the gadget show they have awarded it and secondly it clears lots of cavitiy in the mouth

I've seen the best results with the Oral-B.

To prevent gingivitis, you need to able to remove plaque from under the gumline. The bristles on the Oral-B adapt very well, and are able to get into that little crevice between the tooth and gum and sweep the plaque out very efficiently.

(But you still have to floss) : )

***Hope this helps!
