I had one root canal done on my first molar.
Suggestion:
LOL. You're stressing yourself over nothing. It understand though, when I first started taking classes for dental assisting I had an intense fear of my enamel wearing away and becoming transparent!! But anyways back to you.
Having an extraction doesn't mean your bone will shrink away! Extractions are usually a last result of a tooth that has passed the point of endodontic therapy (root canal). Use your fear to your advantage. Make sure that you are brushing twice daily, flossing daily, and keep up routine appointments with your Dentist. Teeth were made to last a lifetime. If you keep up optimum oral hygiene there is NO reason to ever have a tooth extracted.

eh just chillax nothing bad will happen
don't worry consult expert dentist
No worries. They now do implants that fill the hole in the jaw bone and therefore eliminate the possibility of "shrinkage." By the way… I don't know anyone that enjoys or is comfortable with a tooth extraction… The fear is normal and expected.
Why are you worrying about something that has not happened?
You are wasting energy by worrying. If your dentist said, yes, you do need an extraction, then yes, worry.
Brush your teeth at least twice a day and you'll probably never need an extraction!
