Suggestion:
The foamy-ness you are asking about is quite common in bleaching products. It is a process called oxidation because the product contains a type of peroxide.
Just make sure you follow the instructions for the procedure well. After the treatment, you may notice some hypersensitivity to hot and cold, which for some people is very acute. It is advisable to use a stronger fluoride toothpaste to combat that.
Good luck. I'm sure you'll have much success.

No, don't worry. What you are seeing is correct. The gel is supposed to bubble up within a few seconds. This shows that it is breaking down and releasing the superoxyl molecules that are responsible for the whitening effect. The unit you refer to as a laser is in fact a warming unit that is designed to heat up the gel by about 5 degrees to accelerate the reaction. Just be careful to keep the gel away from your gums!
I do not recommend whitening pens – I think they are commercial gimmicks.
